we believe that every student here in our school fall somewhere in that Spectrum understanding what this opportunity is and others that might not get it right at first but if they can hang in there it's the transformational experience Felix Unger is an amazing young man smile that will light up the room shook my hand and look me in the eye really taken back by that me and my friends software she struggled a little bit but she had a lot of support she and her friend started the cheerleading and she went to leadership conference I think one thing that students need to develop is the ability to ask for help when they need it and Cassandra did that play Heart of the DeLaSalle North Catholic soccer team on the captain on the community here in DeLaSalle is very special you get to know a lot of the students very well if it kind of feels like clearly feels closed in about being a small school can I think of a lot of that has to do with our insistence on being good people being good to one another and everyone just has like that connection  the influence DeLaSalle has had on me becoming a leader is huge any kind of started freshman year I want to become someone that people can look up to through this corporate work-study program it's been amazing learning the job I'm working that organelle Science University you and with DeLaSalle have really helped me to be a leader she's one of those people who knows how to organize our time make sure she has a lot of quality to her work and she's very dedicated I have a good with my supervisor we've been talking about like after high school so I told her that either wanted to be a like to go to Mexico or be a graphic designer so she's going to have me meet with like a graphic designer at Nashville has a friend who's a doctor and she said that she would help me like get in contact with her we hope the kids leave here trusted tough Panda challenge so they can go out to the world and do great stuff is adults take them in as co-workers it is not a job shot program this is actual work these young people are doing at the job site and so what happens is these wonderful adults who they work with become enmeshed in their lives and they show up basketball games soccer games to show the support that sometimes these students don't have in their lives 90% of what's going to determine your success in the workplace is how do you build develop and maintain relationships with people the employees here really enjoy interacting with the kids and they really felt connection to the school do the things that make the community as rich as it is not just what's inside but our ability to connect outside of these walls having buys the perfect time looking for someone who when she came here she was shy and she was quiet and she kind of developed into a very mature young lady which is pretty impressive he just said I really want to be able to do something good with myself I want to be able to help other people he works really hard and he sees him is sacrificing now so that he can offer this greater good later like that when you see testimony from people out of your home it makes you feel like this is worth it it's not only on teachers and staff lives but especially the students lives actually start bleeding that was a big change and then walk across the stage transform they've become so that's a huge Testament I think to who we are and what we do but I think the hard work that these young people put in
