Lasallian Youth Ministry: Program Overview
Lasallian Youth Ministry combines the traditional programs of Campus Ministry, Student Activities, Student Government, and Volunteer Service. Rather than different, separate, and sometimes competitive programs that are distinct from one another, Lasallian Youth Ministry consists of three integral components of a single program: Faith, Service, and Community.
Ambassadors
Lasallian Youth Ministry involves students from all grade levels in each of the three program areas. Keeping with Lasallian tradition, the student representatives for each area are known as “ambassadors” and collaborate with other ambassadors in promoting leadership by sponsoring programs for student participation relevant to each of the three program areas.

Other Responsibilities
The Executive Council is composed of ambassadors in the 11th and 12th grades. They determine the agenda of the weekly LYM meetings, meet with school administrators, and ensure that the ambassadors act as representatives of their constituents. Ambassadors meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. Attendance is mandatory, and ambassadors receive an elective credit for participation.
Lasallian Student Leaders
Lasallian Student Leaders provide any student an opportunity to serve the De La Salle North community. These students create new events, work with ambassadors, and form committees that address students’ needs. Students may enroll for elective credit or drop in to help at any time. Most importantly, every student at De La Salle North is a member of Lasallian Youth Ministry. Every student has the opportunity to get involved by reading at masses, serving meals downtown, setting up for a dance, or organizing students to raise awareness.
Peer Helpers
De La Salle North Peer Helpers combine the traditional skills of communication, boundaries and limits training, and administering referrals while fostering love and support for our peers and neighbors. See form below for more information.
